Chicken Parmesan Recipe

If you are a chicken lover and an absolute fan of Italian food then, this Chicken Parmesan recipe is for you. Do not get flummoxed by the name. It is not as complicated as it sounds.

Chicken Parmesan is a classic dish that can be made in a matter of minutes and still taste like world class food at the end of the day. The ingredients used in the following recipe are simple and are available at every grocery store. You can now whip out a tasty Chicken Parmesan in less than 10 minutes!

Ingredients: (the quantities mentioned are for 2 servings)

• 2 boneless pieces of chicken breasts (increase the quantity depending on the number of servings)

• 1 cup of Croutons – You can add cheese flavoured or garlic flavoured croutons depending on your taste. Plain croutons will also do

• 1 egg – beaten

• Italian red sauce – marinara would be the most perfect. You can add basil for extra flavour

• ½ cup shredded Mozzarella cheese

• ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

• 2 cups of spaghetti – cooked spray

Method Of Preparation

This recipe for chicken parmesan is more for a crispy kind of a chicken. You can change the time of cooking to have your chicken the way you want it. The first step involves pre heating the oven to about 375 degrees F.

Take a baking dish and coat the dish with the vegetable cooking spray. The croutons need to be in the form of crumbs. They can be crumbed in the food processor. An alternate method is to place the croutons in a zip locked bag and then crush it with the help of a roller or a spatula.

Take the chicken breasts and dip it into the beaten egg solution so that it is entirely coated with egg yolk and white. Then dip the chicken into the crouton crumbs so that it is evenly coated with the crumbs. Place the chicken in the baking dish and add the marinara sauce on top of it.

You can also layer the base of the baking dish with the sauce. Sprinkle the cheeses on top of the chicken and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or till the chicken is done. If you do not want crispy chicken, you can directly place the chicken breasts in the baking dish without the egg and the croutons. Serve with spaghetti.
