Chicken Piccata Recipe

Here is a Chicken Piccata recipe that will blow your mind away. Good entrees are hard to find and even more difficult to make. Have you ever gone into a restaurant, had an amazing entree and thought “I wish I could make this at home!” Well your wish has come true. It takes just 30 minutes to prepare! The best part is that you require no fancy ingredients and all the ingredients are available at standard grocery shops and marts.

Chicken Piccata

Ingredients: (the quantities mentioned are for 2 servings)

• 2 boneless chicken breast halves ( the quantity of chicken breast halves that are required is equal to the number of servings)

• Chicken stock or white wine

• ¼ cup of all purpose flour

• ¼ cup of butter

• 1 teaspoon lemon juice

• Salt and pepper to taste

Method Of Preparation

Take a deep bowl and add the all purpose flour to it. Add the required amounts of salt and pepper to the flour. There is no restriction on the kind of spices you would want to put into the mixture.

If you wish to make your chicken spicier, you can add paprika or red chilli powder to the flour mixture. Alternatively you can also add garlic powder or minced garlic to the mixture. Take the chicken breasts and dip it into the flour mixture taking care to coat the chicken evenly. Remember that it is important to coat the chicken breasts evenly or parts of the chicken will be overcooked and parts of it will be undercooked.

The next step involves taking a skillet or a girdle and placing it over medium heat. Add a dollop of butter and allow it to melt on the skillet. Place the chicken pieces in the skillet and allow them to brown in the butter. Flip the chicken breasts from time to time, taking care to see that it has been browned from all sides.

If the chicken breasts are not flipped over, then the breast will simply burn. Add in the wine or chicken broth to the skillet. Immediately reduce the heat and allow the wine or the broth to simmer.

Do not cover the skillet at any point. Allow the chicken breasts to cook in the broth or wine for about 10-15 minutes or until the chicken pieces are tender. Remove from the skillet, add a dash of lemon juice and you Chicken Piccata is ready to be eaten!
