Tuna Noodle Casserole Recipe
Tuna noodle casserole recipe is one of the popular tuna fish recipes. Tuna fish is high protein fish with no fat in it. Many people eat tuna because of this characteristics but it should not be eaten in a high quantity as it can be dangerous.
The following recipe adds noodles with tuna and makes it more tasty and healthy. The cooking time is not much. It takes around 40 minutes and can serve for 2 to 3 people.
• Tuna – ½ can or around 4 ounce in an undrained condition.
• Noodles – 4 ounce
• Butter – 1 tablespoons
• Celery – ½ cup chopped
• Onion – 2 table spoon
• Mayonnaise – ¼ cup
• Milk – ½ cup
• Mushroom – ½ can sliced and drained
• Condensed cream of Mushroom soup – ½ can
• Parsley – 1 teaspoon dried
• In case you do not get dried, you can use fresh parsley.
• Pimiento – 1 teaspoon chopped
• Bread crumbs – ¼ cup
Cook noodles as per the instructions. Usually you need 5 times water and 1 spoon of oil to cook noodles. Boil the water first and then add noodles into it. On a medium flame let it cook for 5 minutes. Drain the water after cooking it and toss it with oil or butter so that noodles will not stick to each other. Keep it aside.
Take a skillet and put butter into it. After melting it add onion and celery and sauté till it becomes tender. Make small pieced of tuna. Sliced tuna is a great option for this recipe.Add tuna and stir well. Add milk, parsley, mushrooms, mayonnaise and pimiento in it and cook well. Do not add water for cooking as the milk, mushroom soup and mayonnaise is enough for cooking it.
Grease a casserole with butter and pour the tuna mixture into it. Add noodles in it. Mix it well. Sprinkle it with bread crumbs. Bake it for around 20 to 25 minutes. Serve hotTuna noodle casserole recipe is an easy to make recipe and because of noodles it is children’s favourite recipe.
