Turkey Casserole Recipe



Turkey casserole recipe is favorite American and European recipe. It is an important food for the thanksgiving ceremonies in the United States of America.

Apart from taste, it has many important health benefits. It is a good source of protein and vitamin B6 and B12. It is known as low fat product and research says it can give protection from the diseases like cancer. It improves the overall immunity and can use as a mood enhancer.

Turkey can be used in many ways and this recipe needs ground turkey. Small cubes of turkey are the most common way of eating turkey.

Ingredients:

Turkey – ¼ pound in a ground format

Onion – 1 small finely chopped

Egg Noodle – 2 cups uncooked

Tomato sauce – ½ can

Milk powder – ½ cup

Try going for no fat milk powder

Italian seasoning – ½ teaspoon

Mozzarella cheese – 2/3 cups shredded

Low fat cream cheese – 2 ounce in a cube format

Little water

Garlic clove – minced

Fresh parsley – 1 tablespoon

Stepwise Preparation

Cook noodles in a large pan. Cook it as per the instruction given on the package. Drain the noodles and keep it aside. Put little butter and toss it so that it will not stick with each other.

Take a large skillet and cook onion and turkey in it. Cook till the color of turkey changes.Add tomato sauce in it along with Italian seasoning. Boil the mixture and reduce the flame.

Cover it and cook for 5 to 7 minutesTake another saucepan and put rest of the ingredients in it. Milk powder, water, cheese, parsley and garlic and cook while stirring on the medium heat. Melt the cheese completely.Add drained noodles into saucepan and mix well.

Take square shape baking dish and grease it with butter. Pour noodles mixture in it. Spread it in the dish and then pour turkey mixture in it. Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese generously on it.

While baking keep the dish uncovered in your oven. Bake at 375° till the cheese melts. It can take around 10 to 15 minutes.Turkey casserole recipe can be made for 2 to 3 people and it takes around 10 to 15 minutes for preparation and 30 minutes for cooking.
